I have an 05 F250 Lariat Crew Cab. It has the overhead DVD system. I just bought the truck used, and it's my first Ford truck. I love it so far. But.... Is it me, or is there only one interior light in this truck, all the way in the back, above the opening in the rear window?
Not as far as I know. My brother's 2005 has a dome light with one Driver's and one Passengers' map light overhead up front between the the two front occupants' Maybe the DVD install eliminated that one.
I'd like to see pics. I also like the white light and am wanting to change out at least my license plate lights to the white lights. I feel it gives a more high end look to pretty much any vehicle.
I just threw some LED bulbs on the back of my Ex and I completely agree, LED license plate bulbs make any car/truck look more "classy." I'll have to snap a few photos.
Got about 10x of those 164 style LED bulbs on FleaBay for like $4 or $5...

Did they add a tv screen or something?
The previous owner of my ex also did something w a tv screen and the front light is no longer there. Really annoying at night.

No. It appears to be a factory unit on the ceiling. Are there no lights under the dash or on the doors or anything that I'm somehow missing or is this just a major FORD design flaw?

I doubt it. I bet the unit is not factory.. or factory meant for another model.
