single to dual shock

hey i have a 77(1/2) f250, and thanks to these damn potholes in new england i broke a shock the other day. so i got to thinking while replacing the shocks in the rear migh as well do the front ones too, and i was wondering how hard / if there was a special mount or something to change it from a single shock setup to a dual shock set up if its even possible. any input would be appreciated. thanks, matt.

I used a second set of top mounts and made the bottom mounts. There are universal dual set ups but by the time you mess with that you might as well just make your own.

I was going to say all you need was the stock bracket. But after re-reading, I saw you've got the F250.

My '78 Bronco came with the heavy duty suspension from the factory with dual shocks up front....

Good luck!
