no piston yet. i need to decide what size bore i want to run. its going to be around $250 for a custom piston for 96mm bore which is what i want. i could just run the 94mm jug with an off the shelf piston just to get it running. i also need to get threaded bungs and rod ends for my subframe.
i thought you ordered a 97mm gasket? doesnt that mean thats what you need to run?
Hey anybody got a good used battery? I need one for the '83 so it'll stay running, I can give it back after a month or so while Josiah and I swap parts, that way I can move it around if need be. I can buy one at the junk yard for $25 but I don't want to spend anymore money on it.
I have a spare battery you can use.
Aaron, no plow wax. Didn't even hook it up yet.
Spent today b@stardizing my fuel fill to make it work with the flatbed. And picking up my new pair of glasses. Old pair split directly down the middle.
i dont think i can fit a 97mm in my jug. and it would cost about $400 for a custom batch of pistons (minimum order of 4 from CP)
gasket choices are stock 94mm (stock bore is 90mm) or oversized 97mm. the gasket is always bigger than the piston.
i dont think you want to go any bigger than whats already in there unless you get an athena cylinder. Your walls will be too thin if you punch it out that big and it will crumble. id stick with a 94 or 95
i have 2 jugs, one is steel sleeved to 95.5, the other is only a 93 or 94 but its an athena style aluminum nikasil'd one, i think its cylinderworks brand. those can be bored to 96 max. anything after that and i need the $1000 ice cube to bore into.
Personally I'm hoping for no snow. With the sounds of it with rain it's just gonna be a mess here... Not like it'll stick anyway, the three driveways I'd hit all have sand on them still. Hooking up is no problem though, I still have to figure out some form of ballast...
miles- we can always custom fab you a switch panel, if you can draw it we can build it. i know someone with a plasma cutter, welder, drill press, and powdercoater.
I say use one of Aarons' aluminum diamond plate mudflaps as a starting point. Cut, bend, and drill holes and polish Voila a custom switch panel
Good morning everyone. I'm very sore right now and of course had to spend part of my evening last night covering the dumpster up with tarps so that I'm not spending any more money than I have to.
