I got my exhaust pieces parts today, and I don't understand how measurements can be so far off. I got the thrush welded muffler(2 1/2") that fits nicely up to the walker y-pipe, an intermediate pipe that was advertised 2 1/2", but is more like 2 1/4", and then an tail pipe, also advertised as 2 1/2", but is much more like 2". Just fantastic! Not to mention the packing job was pretty bad. I had ordered some other parts, and they were strewn all about in the box, some not in their boxes. Luckily nothing was damaged, but it sure looked bad.
I had talked to john woods and was going to get his valve body, but not sure if it was the issue or not I got the oem valve body from a local supplier. Now I'm talkin to jody at dptuner about flashing my spare pcm with a nice tune, he suggested I trade it in towards a multiposition chip and offered me 150 for the new pcm I just paid 300 for, I may just do that I mailed him just now for the price differences.
not our area. because my mom hates driving and didnt want to have more than 2 hour drive so we are in southern vermont, where its currently 30 degrees and rain tonight. snowmobile season is probably over
Advance auto. I was checking availability online for a bunch of stuff and saw they were offering free shipping and $50 off your next $100 purchase when you spend $100. So I decided to just have it shipped since a few of the items weren't available in the stores near me anyway. I will be making a trip to the local advance auto parts down the street here to switch out the intermediate pipe and get an exhaust adapter for the 2 1/2" inch pipe to a 2" pipe. Should quiet down my exhaust a little bit anyway. No need to sound like a rice rocket when I step on the gas...which I will be doing often The 2" tailpipe is pre-bent to fit my truck already.
