I've never had an issue with Summit... if I order at the time I ordered the intake it'd already be on it's way. The one time I've known of any issue with them was because the product was on backorder from the manufacturer. One time UPS screwed up on delivery and Summit sent me a second order free of charge, priority shipping (luckily it was only a couple sets of carburetor jets).
It still isn't listed as processed I might call to see if it's backordered or not, and if it's too long I'll just have them refund me the $ and I'll have someone match the price.
Finally got my question answered on my exhaust... going Corsa with a single exit. 4" exhaust, sounds a little big but hey, if it's good it's good.
I had to fill mine up today... hopefully this whole exhaust and intake combo thing opens it enough for a few MPG's. Anyone want to throw some money in to buy a gas station?
I have to fill up when I get out of the eye doctor. Almost to E and I'm only at 245 miles :O
Sounds about like my truck...only my E shows up at about...80 miles or so. Luckily it is lying though.
The gasket I ordered from summit was backordered, but they neglected to mention until after everything was completely processed(after being told it would ship that day)
I was guaranteed fitment on my truck by Corsa. So install would be much easier. Although, this kit is on backorder EVERYWHERE, for at least two weeks. I guess the difference between my truck and the larger ones is the number of resonators, mine doesn't have the second one or something.
I told Gibson what I was told by somebody who had contacted Corsa since the tech who responded did not know if it would fit. He just emailed me back saying that if I wanted to "test fit" the exhaust of my choice I could buy it for a discounted rate, and it's already $50 cheaper for the duals with Gibson over Corsa's single and $300 cheaper than Corsa duals. Plus Gibson's duals exit either straight out back, or angled on each side versus Corsa's 90 degree turn behind the tires.
What should I do? Go for guaranteed fitting, or go for a discounted Gibson?

Twice I've bought exhaust kits, and each time I had a shop do the install that way they could tweak it as needed.
The first time back in the 80's it was a small shop on Route 2 at the Norwich - Preston line. I had bolted on the headers and they made up the pipe run from the headers to the muffler / tailpipe kit.
The second time I had Jannetty Racing, Waterbury, CT install a down pipe and cat-back system. Jannetty has mandrill bending machines (iirc) and an assortment of mandrill bent fittings.
Note though that Jannetty balks at installing anything not purchased through their performance store.
With my van, Jannetty will be my choice again for exhaust pipes, but I won't do that until I get around to installing a bigger turbo.
