they're manufactured by posie's and i haven't heard anyone ever grumble about his products that i can recall .... only reason i didn't buy 'em is i got a good set of front springs from sundown , removed every other and adding a set of reverse eye main leaves for the same effect as far as the drop .....

i might add one little thing to this just in case like me you think more is better . i have lowered the truck via the front springs and longer rear shackles / hangers in the rear and moving the front / rear spring perch to the top of the frame rail in the rear { both the shackles and perch mod give 4" in theory of lowering } . i was going to buy a dropped axle to get the nose down even further , damn the bump steer by the way !!! anyway with the tires i plan to run in front and the spring mods , and a dropped axle of either 3 or 4 inches i was considering from nostalgia sids i wasn't going to have an adequate scrub line or it was gonna be sitting on the pavement period ! scrub line = amount of clearance you have under the bottom of the axle if both front tires go flat , as sid's site says you don't want the axle to become a plow ................... so if you bolt the springs in : 1 . expect some bump steer . 2. don't consider a dropped axle really unless you like the idea of tilling up the pavement if something were to go awry , and tearing up your ride in the process . my truck has already been dropped 2 inches all around by the p.o and i used the measurements i have now as a base for my scrub line and configured everything including tire selection , to keep it close to that as i don't have any issues now ..........

Glad to get the info. I am going to tear the front packs apart and see how bad or good they are and then go from there. Will do the spring removal trick that others do to get it lowered. Won't be going with a drop axle in front. I just want to drop 2-3 front and back. My Speedway rear packs came yesterday. Can't wait to put them in.

Well, I took the front springs apart and the passenger side looks like it had some individual leaves replaced at some point because they were square on the end, not tapered. Plus the passenger side pack was significantly stiffer than the drivers side, so I bit the bullet and ordered the 2 leaf Posies from Speedway. They have fast shipping and should be here by Wednesday.

I'll be sure to take some and post them in my gallery. I'm not looking for a huge drop. The website says it drops the front about 3 inches. I also went with their super slides in the rear and its supposed to drop it 3 inches as well. I am going to have some slotted factory 15 inch rims I scored in the local U-Pull yard and see how those look on it for starters. They are in perfect shape including the center caps. Couldn't pass them up for $150. My ride is an F-3 so I will see how much it drops taking into consideration the springs I chose and also the 15 inch rims vs. the 17 inch factory monsters.

I've decided to forego the stock springs, and am going with Posies as well. If nothing else, I can always add the shorter springs from the stock pack back on if I want to go back to a stock height.
Or I could add the F6 springs to the pack, and posies and get the Dubs for the F1 and go donk! Dick would like that, lol.
