So far, I've just been keeping an extra 2.5gal jug in the garage. when I get to 800 miles to E, I dump the spare jug in and I pick up another jug the next time I'm near an O'Reilly. It's been working well for me so far. Of course, I'm fortunate to have an O'Reilly on my normal commute route.
It is about 45 miles from my house to the Pilot Truck Stop with the DEF dispenser. Too far to just drive there for DEF. I fill there when I am going by and put 3 gallons in a plastic fuel can, prominently identified as DEF, to carry home. I usually get by there another time before I run out.
In case anyone is interested, I just acquired 20 jugs of 2.5 gal Blue def with the spout . If you happen to passing through Kentwood, Louisiana I'll pass it on at my cost of $10.00 per jug, pm if you are interested
Lincare,
I shortened the antenna while it was still on the truck with a small rotary air saw making sure the truck was protected . I tapered the end of the shaft slightly with a file just enough so that I could lightly drive the original ball back on. On both trucks that I did this the fit was tight enough that no glue was needed. I did have to touch up the ball with flat black paint after installation.

I stopped by a flying J/Pilot Truck stop that had bulk DEF at the pump. I filled the truck and two 2.5 gallon jugs my dealer gave me at delivery. $2.599/gal or $15.61 for 6.007 gallons.
Here is a link for Pilot Truck stops that have DEF at the pump:
