If it's no trouble, I'll gladly accept the measurements. I see you have about as many parts as I do, lol.... only mine are all '78/79. I'll go to PM if I think they'll work, which I think they will.

I'm glad I put the beer down long enough to realize if the 2wd mounts are the same only 1 inch difference in height, then the 4x4 location should be the same, and only 1 inch difference in height. Also that likely means the bell to mount bolt is 12" and not 14".

Ok - got to the shop and the top holes are 2.5" O.C.

The motor mount holes are 6.5" O.C. and after confirming that the 3.25" hole spacing measurement was at the FRONT side of the truck that means the motor mounts catch the 2nd and 4th hole in the 4 hole (8 if you count both rows) bolt hole pattern - if counting starts at front of truck.

Clear as mud?

Helpful at all?

Cool deal.

Just a head's up - I try to step away from this glowing box I live behind all week on the weekends so I may not get the PM until Monday.

Came home with a 79 4wd front frame section this weekend as well as a pair of 351/400m motor mounts. Now I can compare side by side if needed.

Been a hellacious week. Anyway, got time to get on here, and seen this. That's great you got another frame section. My only question at this point is to hold one of those FE perches up next to the 351M perch, and line up the motor mount hole, and see if either of the top frame mount holes line up or not. Sorry I didn't PM, it's been a crazy week.

No big deal on the no PM. I know how bad weeks go - my computer crashed last week so I was offline for 3 days. That's a lot for me - haha.

As for comparing the 351 to FE motor mounts - I should be able to do that and get a pic when I'm back in the shop tomorrow night.

Got a guy looking to buy these 4wd FE motor mounts. Since they might be gone soon I figured I'd throw up the measurement while I have them.

Looking at the PASS. side motor monut for the FE mount in a 4wd. The hole in the tower where the rubber engine mount would go is 4" back from the front mounting holes on the motor mount/tower (the vertical face of the frame mount holes).

Thanks, for that. I'll take all this and start making a diagram. I'll fill in the blanks later. Currently got other issues going on, so it may take awhile. Anyhow, good luck on the parts.

No problem. Let me know when you get around to it. I have a couple pics I took that show the 351/400m mounts next to the FE ones. I can also measure the 351/400m ones as long as they haven't sold before you ask.

it's cleared up a bit now. Since we don't really get crap for PM sotrage space here it always hovers right around 93% full. I get to PM's in one day with that and I'm full...
