Can anyone advise me here , I'm thinking of swapping my 351 for a 360 , but not sure , looking for a bit more power and thought of a small big block and dont know much about 360's. Are they good engines , are they reliable and guttsy engines.
get a 390 instead of a 360. They are exactly the same other than stroke. A 360 is a destroked 390. The 390 will give you much more power and either the same or better mpg. Around here you can find a running one for pretty cheap $500-800. In other places people find them for 300. FE is a great engine, hard to kill.
The 360 is from the FE family as is the 352, 390, 410, 428 and the legendary 427.
While reliable and gutsy enough, the 360 is not known as much of a preformance or powerhouse powerplant. As with most FEs, it isnt known for it's economy either, to my thinking, it likes gas as well if not better than any of the FEs yet lacks the performance aspect of the others. Its kind of the dog of the FE family, never getting much attention as it is primarily a destroked 390, only used in F series pickups. That said, it is a reliable engine and FYI, it shares an identical block with the 390 so swapping cranks and rods is a popular upgrade.

What makes you think you have a Clevland? they were only available in cars in the US. Over sees you could get a Clevland in a truck but not here
360 is a really reliable engine and hard to kill, they haul decent but overall as stated before the 390 would be a better choice when dealing with the FE family. If you already had a 351 in there it would be easier to stay with that. Your not going to see much difference between the 2, nothing thats worth swapping to unless you put some money into them.
