OEM Keyless Entry

I have a 2002 Ford F-350 XLT 7.3L Super Crew built with power locks but without factory keyless entry. I found this out after I bought it, I bought new key fobs only to find out after I tried to program them. Can I buy and install a new VSM and program the new key fobs. The part number I was given is 4C7Z-15604-AC. Is this correct? Is it just a plug and play application or will there be additional programing involved? I've priced them out at arount $110.00 which is great. I really want to go with an oem setup. Any help, ie part numbers, parts dealers, pics, diagrams, instructions or how to's would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

On my 05, all I had to do was have the dealer re-program the computer.

Thanks for the reply. So did you just reprogram a new VSM, or reprogram the existing GEM or PCM? Thanks for your time

Does the 2002 have a GEM? If so, that's what needs to be changed or programmed. The GEM used to do all that stuff. At some point, it was eliminated and replaced with more purpose specific modules, like the VSM, 4WD control module, etc. I believe that was 2003, but I'm not sure.
