++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Is this new truck a 2011 or a 2012? I seen some place on here production dates and I think I seen the new 2012's start rolling off the line in July 2011.... Do a search on "Production Dates"
Congrats on new truck, what ever year it may be.. I love mine and no problems to date....

Is that diesel or gas? Cloth or leather? 2 or 4 wheel drive? Just wondering because that price seems low?

It is as loaded as XLT package as you can get did not want leather so did not upgrade to a lariat package for more options. 6.7L diesel engine obviously since it is in this forum, 4WD, and coming with bed liner, clearance lights, running boards, upfitter switches, dual alternators, gooseneck hitch, and chrome package all from the factory for $42k.

You are far, and I mean far, more likely to NOT see mrwindows CEL issue with your new truck. I understand the frustration he and some others are having with the length of time it has taken to address the issue.

However, the overall quantity of affected trucks is extremely small. The number of 2011 6.7 SD trucks sold is well over 225000 units. The issue is an overly wide tolerance range on the NOX sensor on some trucks. It generally shows up only in very cold conditions. There have been reports of some CEL's disappearing as the outside ambient temperatures moderate. Many of us on FTE have these trucks running around in 0 F temps with no CEL. I live in Michigan and have not had the problem. I have 22500 miles on the truck and drive it daily.

It was recently reported that the necessary EPA approval of the new Emissions programming needed to eliminate the problem has been completed and the fix will be available by the end of March. I would expect that only trucks with a reported NOX issue will be reflashed. If you have reported the problem to your dealer and your CEL has went out on it's own you should still be notified of the repair procedure.

Regards
