Hello,i have a 1965 ford f100 that has a 352 engine and a 3 speed c6 auto tranny,i want to swap these parts for a 302 stroker engine with a 4 speed auto overdrive tranny, any ideas on how to get these in my truck. is there an engine and tranny mtotr mount kit?
Thanks for your reply do i get some stands from a newer f100?i would like to go the fastest easiest route.my mechanic says i can buy an after market crossmember but need to weld. On another note the 352 and c6 are working fine i do not know the miles i took the engine out and replaced seals, painted it and added chrome parts then decided to go with the 302 . I am thinking of selling it on ebay or something
or 351/M400 from 77 79. Use factory insulators for the 302 in a truck. Trans mount will need to be moved backs and new holes drilled. Use the AOD type mount with single through bolt.
Well,I finally got the 302 and aod tranny in my pickup.the problem now is that I have a noise in the engine.it looks like it is the rocker arms or the lifters are not staying full of oil,I had them adjusted but sounds about the same.it stops after I drive it for a little while .it only has 290 miles on it.any ideas?
I dont know about the galley plugs,i assume they were installed correctly.it has hydrolic cam and hydrolic lifters.the engine runs at 50 psi at idle wiyh engine warm
