once you get to laramie ultimate and KR's man you are talking about one expensive truck its about like buying a freaking escalade. personally I just can't spend 60 grand for a truck. I think the loaded trucks in 4 or 5 years are going to loose the most resale by far over say a moderately loaded XLT. its whatever floats your boat I suppose.

I can understand what you're saying, but they're not 60K. By the time you're done you might pay $49K-$51K on a $62K KR. A Lariat with similar equipment is $47K-$48K ($58K list) depending on how aggressive you can get with the dealer. What I have found is that the better equipped trucks actually hold their value better than the lesser equipped trucks. There are people who still want cloth and won't buy a truck with leather, but they're in the minority from my experience. If you keep a truck more than 7 years and keep it minty I think the used buyers really appreciate the higher equipment level and things like 2 tone paint, leather, etc. It sets your truck apart when you sell it used and allows you to ask and hopefully get a nice premium over a lesser equipped truck.
Again...to each their own...I love toys and gadgets and I far prefer leather...YMMV!

My completly loaded up KR stickered for $65,500, I walked out the door (taxes title fees and whatever else) for 59K and this was on the A-plan so about as good as your gonna do on bottom line price. I think the A-plan took off almost 9K and the rest was rebate's.

I've found one dealer that is willing to do a net/net deal on an ordered truck which means I can get a little over 10% off list, 3% holdback and rebates which on a $60K list truck is $6000 + $1800 + 3500 = $11,300 or $48,700 (not including sales tax) Sounds like you got about the same deal if your sales tax is around 8%. I don't qualify for A plan, but that would have made things easier for me!

I'd take that deal in a heart beat.
No A plan here, could do the xplan I suppose. Man I hate this process but really want the truck. Last time I started with emails to there "internet department". May start there again.
I have everything but Nav and Moonroof. Didn't like the two tone KR interior, haven't seen a black one. Love my Lariat.$59,450 list, out the door for $50,450. White with adobe lower accent panel and adobe two tone seats. Chrome package with 20's.

Guys the kr leather is what I like verses the two previous lariats I have owned.I have the 2010 model with every option except 20in.wheels I did not care too much about the chapparral colored seats at first but after time they grew on me.I pesonally think the quality leather on the kr is much softer and more comfortable. If i'm gonna spend 3999 for an ultimate lariat I would spend a little more for a KR.I prefer the paited bumpers over the chrome and the two tone paint is not for everyone but I like my royal red metallic with the lower accent gold. Thanks
Either truck is very nice and essentially have the same available options. There's really nothing that separates a Lariat from a KR other than trim and a couple grand. Love the KR interior in either color and the leather is of higher quality, but the exterior is too much for me. Just my personal opinion, but there are too many painted parts. Reminds me of an AMC Matador Barcelona II of the late 70s. The 2 tone Lariat's on the other hand appear to be just the right combo of color and chrome.
Ford dealers in my neck of the woods is offering $10,000 off msrp I do not know if that includes the rebates.I am sure sure a guy could do a little better depending how aggressive he wants to be.
