Whenever it is damp or wet outside the brakes on the ranger will just grab all of a sudden while applying the brakes.. I can get used to it after a while. but would rather fix it if possible.
so if you are feathering the pedal it isn't too bad. But if you give a bit more than feathering the brake pedal the brakes practically lock up and will throw you to the windshield. This has been happening for at least two sets of pads and rotors. Wears them out a bit faster!!! Tranny had gone out and truck sat for a year. I had the tranny repaired and started driving the truck. It was then that the brakes started doing this.
Could there be a master cylinder problem? OR what say you guys?
I know I had a problem like that except it was the back not the front,the problem was the drums were bad and shoes came apart and when I steped on the brake it jerked! but yours sounds like its the master cylinder or something warped in the brake system.
nnaa all of my trucks did that, Like in the morning when there wet they will just LOCK up but then when they worm up there fine, Iv had it happen one truck with new brakes and bad brakes, So if it dosnt stop after driven it for 2 miles then yeah it must be something else
