Something brand new...

Today, a new sound started. It sounds like a flashing touching against the drive shaft, at times.

It happens at around 40 or less miles, and is related to the rear end, or so it sounds.

As i decelerate, coasting, then feather the gas lightly, it gets louder then lightens as i release the throttle.

If i coast to a stop, it sounds like a dragging brake shoe. But if i feather the accelerator again, it speeds up even though i am going the same speed.

And then it sometimes stops all together, for a bit.

I have not had it happen over 40 mph, and no noticeable difference in driving, accereration/decelleration beyond noise.

I have noticed a discoloration on the drivers read wheel inside but have owned the truck 3 months and it has not gotten worse.

I will check read fluids tomorrow and prepare for possible wheel bearings?

Thanks

Is that a "free style" poem? or a question?

I have no fan clutch, and there is actually another thread on this, i accidently duplicated...

And....Highboy, it started out as a gangster rap free flow, but i am now at the age where i cant even stand up from sitting on the steps, without releasing a fart, which isnt gangster, so yes i opted out for the freestyle poem...

I always try to use J-Zee or Kanye as a diagnostic tool...common sense...right??

The sound you hear could be anything, you've only had the rig 3mos....give it time....it will "talk" to you eventually...

Every rig has its quirks, tweaks and idiosyncrasies...you'll come to love them over time....

And you'll know what's wrong or right....I wouldn't sweat it.....ride and enjoy

Thank you for taking this thread so seriously. And yes, my discombobulator has been showing some wear and tear from overusage all of these years, i am ordering some Viagra to hopefully recharge the system. Im also contemplating a prostate pump/flush...

I don't think anyone's mocking you, I certainly wasn't...but your description is pretty epic.....novel like...

Can you isolate the concern? or at a minimum re-phrase it? so we can at least try to help you.....

I topped off my fluids in the rear diff and tc, both were quite low, and so far noises has stopped. But i only took a few short trips, so we will see. And if someone is offended, they should buy a dress and go get a Chevy. Just my opinion...
