So I am anti GM and do not like GM terms.
No were in any Ford shop manual will you find the name "cruise control".
GM may have a patent on that name also.
I take it you call Fords "DC Generator" an "Alternator" also.
Or do you like the GM term of "Delcotron Generator".
Alternator is a Chrysler name and they have a patent on that name so no other Auto Mfg. can use it. But the patent may have ran out by now.
Just because you are doesn't mean everyone else has to be. Let people call it what they want. I dont see it hurting anything. I understood exactly what they were talking about and im sure you did too..
I have a 92 F250 with 7.5l and am working on the cruise control. Someone removed the unit under the hood before I purchased it. I am replacing it and need vacuum information. Where does the lines come from and go.? Exactly. Are there any Tees etc. Any that can help?

There is NOTHING vacuum controlled on your 92s speed control. It is ALL electric
The actuators air supply is suppose to be coming directly to the actuator from the front intake manifold Tee? Mine is coming from behind the engine splits and one line goes to a canister on the right fender well and the other goes to the actuator. It has about 18 bls of vac at the line where it splits, it does that with a round plastic piece with a Tee on one side and a inlet on the other. It allows air to flow either direction freely. The round plastic piece is a little larger than a quarter. However there is another round piece upstream of the split. It has one inlet and one outlet. It will only allow air to flow one direction. I'm trying to find out if I have it all laid out properly. I was hopeing that someone had the same layout as mine. I can't get to the rear of the engine to see just where the air vacuum line is coming from but it is right near where the brake booster line comes from.
I am swapping a 92 cab onto my 95 F350 and noticed what was mentioned earlier about the differences in the speed control modules. I will be using the PCM and the engine compartment wiring from the 95 because the 92 is a 5.0 2wd and the 95 is a 5.8 4wd.
My question is if I use the 95 speed control module will the wiring from the switches in the 92 cab work with the 95 speed control module if I am using the wiring harness from the 95 engine compartment?
