help me with cams
ok i have 78 with a 351m. i have a 4 barrel edelbrach carb, k&n airfilter, headers and true dual. in the future i am looking at putting msd ignition setup in it. i don't know anything about cams and i was wondering if you good people can help me. i am looking at the comp cams but i don't know what size to get. i am looking for a little horsepower gain but not so hoped up where it won't hardly idle as this is going to be driven down the road alot. do i want to get lifters with the cam or just get the cam? any info would be appreciated.

Yes any time you change cam profile you will want to get new lifters and springs. If you go to comp cams website you can try their camquest online dyno. You enter all your info into the drop down menus and it will give you the best matches to what you are looking for. Plus you can compare the performance of each cam. Or you can just call the tech line and they'll tell you the best options. Good customer service at Compcams from my experience.
