Getting fan off 302?
Thought perhaps pic's worth more than a thousand words, also, fact I aint good at explaining.
Pulley fits onto water pump shaft, tolerance very close and after setting for year(s) at a time rust and grime can make removing very difficult. Suggest taking a rubber mallet, or something simular, and gently tap on the pulley while turning, don't want to force and worp the pulley. I have an extention for the fan thus unable to see the water pump shaft, if yours is visible suggest applying some WD-40 or something simular.

Between the fan and the pulley is an aluminum spacer. Its center hole fits into the fan and the fan can be a bear to remove, as the fit is tight.
The 4 fan bolts pass thru the spacer and pulley and bolt to the waterpump.
Wiggle the fan back/forth, that should loosen it enough to remove it.

Might put a piece of cardboard between the fan and the radiator too. It's not unheard of to bang the fan into the radiator and put a hole in it when it finally lets loose. Especially if the rad is pretty old.
