alright today i managed to break all my motor mounts and the tranny mounts, so my question, is it worth it to fix them or should i just part the truck out and get a new one?

depends on if your doing it yourself or if your going to have a shop do it... If you did it yourself it wouldnt be that expensive, if you had a shop do it you might as well buy another truck. Depending on how many miles are on it which if your breaking tranny mounts, and motor mounts is has a good amount i would just get another truck anyways...
motor and tranny mounts are a saturday morning job. especially if you have got a second pair of hands. I would hate to know that i got rid of my truck because of a saturday morning worth of work.
1.) get a engine hoist...
2.) hook up and tighten up.
3.) Release motor mount bolts and jack up engine 1-3 inches depending on what you need for room.
4.) Unbolt mount from block
5.) Bolt on new mounts.
6.) drop engine back down on frame
7.) rebolt engine mounts to frame.
Expected time to completion... 3 beers or 45mins for the battle hardened pros (like me! LOL!)... For anyone not having ever done it... 2hrs and 5-6 beers...
tranny:
basically same as above. Only with a floor jack to push the tranny up, instead of having a engine hoist to pull up...
patman, how did you know your mounts were busted? visual inspection? I've got some unexplained rattling and noises coming from under my truck that i can't diagnose. replaced shocks and tightened up the rest of the front end and everything else under the truck that i could put a wrench on. Never dealt with motor mounts, so of course i'm assuming it's them!
well yeah visual mostly, the rear of the intake plenum where it mounts to the lower intake plenum used to be about 3-4 inches ahead of the firewall, now its sitting on the firewall, also i was able to actually physically move the motor side to side, and to cap it all off, i actually saw the motor mounts broken
