Body Swap
I have an 89 ext cab long bed. Due to impending family additions I need a crew cab, but don't want the long wheel base of a long bed crew cab. Will the crew cab and short bed bolt up to the frame, and have same wheel base as the ext cab long bed? If not my only other option is to try to find an 96 F250 quad cab short bed and swap in the Dana 60 axles from my 89 AGAIN. For some reason the 96 quad cab short beds are EXPENSIVE as heck.

No a crew cab and short bed will not bolt right up. But you could make it work if you wanted too. The easy way would be just buy the pickup you want. Not always the cheap way thought.
