It finally runs.

I finally got the truck to run, corse it still has a few issues that I have been working on. The darn alternator is shot, tach does not work, and the fuel gauge says that the tanks are full when they arn't. I am hoping to have the truck inspected and drive able next week.

The fuel gauge circuit is open that is the cause of that problem. Tach can be the sensor in ip gear housing. Have the alt checked These do use external VR's and they cause more trouble then the alts.

I plan on fixing the rust this summer and then it will be time for some paint. I have new body bushing, but I still have to go through and replace the leaf spring bushings front and rear. The truck did have a blade mout and air shocks on it when I bought it, I cut the blade mount off but left the air shocks on the front. I put the factory bumper on it for now so that it would pass the inspection but i do plan on building a custom front bumper/grill guard for it some time to help protect it from those pesky deer.

The VR has to be the right one. It takes a different one for gauge verses a charge warning light. Been there done that.

I found out that the issue with the tach has been with the tach it self, looks like the cluster i bought off of ebay has some issues. I will be going to the junk yard on tuesday to get another one.
