I under coating mine when I bought it. Drove it home and did it. I have always had good results with it myself.
Since it had not been driven but 7 summer miles when I bought it I went ahead.
Now that we have had several snow storms and my white truck is even whiter I think I made the right choice.
I also painted the entire underside components and things as well.
Then fluid film. We will see what it looks like in the spring.
How has the Fluid Film been working? Any drawbacks? Has it done any harm to rubber components like leaf spring bushings? I was thinking of using it on my 05 as well as my other auto's.

Thanks
Fluid film will not deteriorate any rubber or plastics. It's made with lanolin, natural materials. I use it HEAVILY on off shore helicopters that spend the majority of their lives hovering 35 feet over salt water. The only trick to it after several applications you need to wipe it off or power wash it away and reapply. If you keep layering it you trap debris and water between the layers and make it less affective. Properly used it's one of the best products for corrosion prevention, and easy to use.
I use it to completely coat my dump truck bed before loading salt in it for the winter. It works great. It is the best thing for battery terminals, nothing compares. I can't believe it's not butter!
