Body rust on my 2002!!?
I'm just a LITTLE concerned about the longevity issue of my '02 (11,00 miles) that I thought I'd have around for a decade or so! Today as I'm looking at the bed I notice these little rust colored spots on the white paint. I try to spit on my finger and make 'em disappear and guess what? They don't. Got to lookin at the rest of the truck and found spots on most all of the vertical panels! Anybody here have any knowledge firsthand or other regarding EARLY rust on the body panels? I hope this is not going to be a re-paint issue cuz I just don't like the idea of having an after-manufacturer paint job!!! Help - anybody.
It is actually little pieces of metal stuck in your paint rusting.
we talked about this a few days ago here in another post.

It does in fact look like raw metal that has become embedded and started the rusting process. I did try doing a search on 'rust' and it didn't bring back anything on this subject. I don't know if I'm using the search feature properly or not but I don't seem to get much satisfaction from it. I clicked on the 'Site Search' link at the right side of he page - is this correct or is there another way?!
Oh well, I will indeed take this to the dealer and see what THEY are gonna say about it. Thanks for the help guys!
