Somewhere I ran across a description of how to activate the daytime running lights on newer Ford vehicles and now that my X is here, I can't find the instructions. It was something to do with pressing certain radio buttons specific numbers of times in sequence. Can anyone point me in the right direction or was I imagining this?
With your left hand reach over to the rotary switch that has the headlight icon above it.
Rotate this switch to the right.
Walla! Your lights are on!

Sorry, I cannot help you other than to suggest a forum search. I know it has been discussed but I do not think of DRLs at all.
In fact, I am against them because I ride motorcycles and it takes away from my ability to be seen by others. And honestly, if a person cannot see YOU in your Excursion coming down the road...well...maybe...just maybe, it's the natural selection process at work.
OK...off the soapbox. Sorry. That's no way for me to welcome a new user!
Welcome! If you do need help with the search, let me know.
I hear you about the natural selection process. I could have sworn I had read about using a sequence of radio pushbuttons to get DRL activated. Oh well. Gonna have to use your "left hand on light switch" approach I guess.
