I just bought a 95 f150 centurion 4x4 and I'm looking to fix it up a little.
I found a guy parting out a 93 f150 with a 6" superlift with extended arms and it has the superrunner steering. What bushings will I (should I) replace before I put the lift on? Where is the best place to get them? What will need to be done to my driveshafts? Anything else I need to plan for before I tear it apart?
Thanks, Daniel<a href="http://s1183.photobucket.com/albums/x466/Danielhughes/?action=view¤t=1cacafb6.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x466/Danielhughes/1cacafb6.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos" /></a><a href="http://s1183.photobucket.com/albums/x466/Danielhughes/?action=view¤t=33244c67.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x466/Danielhughes/33244c67.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos" /></a>
Should be able to get all the bushings from local parts store. Would definitely upgrade to poly to replace the rubber. Pivot bushings and radius arm bushings. Should probably do ball joints too since your there. Check steering linkage also. I dont know about the driveshafts. Good luck.
I agree about getting poly for the radius arms and axle pivots etc. Summit has them in black from Energy Suspension. That looks much better than the ugly red ones.
I think replacing ball joints and tie rod ends etc is a good idea too. Look for Moog parts if you can get them.
x2 on MOOG! I personally like the Blue color... You might need to think about axle upgrades if your going to be running big tires and going off roading... and if your going that far you might not want to do all your bushings until your axles are swaped.
Its mainly going to be a hunting wagon, but I will be driving it daily. I'm going to be running a 35" tire so it shouldn't be too hard on axles. I was going to do a sas but I like the smoother riding independant suspension for driving down rough roads and through pastures. If I start having trouble with axles you can bet I'll be swapping it out.
Am I going to have to lengthen my driveshasts?
Thanks for the compliment on the blue color. The clear coat is peeling pretty bad so I was thinking about pianting it. I can't decide wether to do tan or OD green with black wheels fender flairs and bumpers (if I ever get them built).
Western Oklahoma. Theres a few more trees where I do most of my hunting. We do have some pretty good deer running around. Heres one my wife shot this last year and one a friend of mine's wife shot.
