wont start

i have 85 f150 1/2 ton 5liter having problem starting. been sitting for a few months and decided to pull her out and get started working on again but when i turn key i get buzzing noise with no rotation ann found that the battery wire to coil is over amping (to hot to touch) and had to pull cable off battery. Could i have short in ign. switch?

test the coil it may be shorted out. i had one go bad like that. put A NEW ONE ON AND IT WAS FINE.

The buzzing is coming from a dead battery or a poor connection at the battery or a bad battery cable.

yeah thanks, new coil on, checked all connections clean and tight. still nada. ??
