I wouldn't trust Clifford Performance products anymore. Not after some of the things that I've heard about them. Check around on here and on fordsixperformance.com and see what they have to say about the newer Clifford Performance products.
However, Hooker and Hedman Hedders also make headers for the 300.
I am running Hedmans on my 84 F150 with a 300 six. I know Clifford headers tend to be a bit pricey, IIRC I think I paid around $160 for the Hedmans from Jegs.
headers make a big differance. make sure you have a new starter on, you'll not be able to change it later. use mr gasket 260 gasket, all others leak. there is an I6 forum on here, you might want to check it out

I put a new fuel pump on, only because I rebuilt the motor. the one I put on is a stock off the shelf replacement. airtech I think. I got lucky on the tune, out of the box, and on the motor, nothing more than idle air adjustment. Some guys are not so lucky, and have to do quite a bit of tuning. Maybe mine worked out because I ported and polished the head, IDK
