Nice dude. And yea, nothing wrong with that. I wanna rebuild the motor too but the wiring in this thing is totally F'd. Then on top of that I gotta flush the motor of coolant and wire up all the lights. The headlights and brake lights work, that's it lol none of the marker lights Work at all

there's a 5 amp fuse in your fuseblock that's blown.happens all the time, check thein the back of the truck for former trailer wiring, that's, bad, botched, corroded, well you get it.

Lots of companies make headers. Hedman, Hooker, and some of the cheaper brands all make headers. I prefer Hedman the best.

If you are on a budget another good choice is also The dual exhaust manifolds off EFI 300 ( 87-96 ). They are basically a pair of cast iron shorty headers. You should have no issues finding a pair for less then $100. I paid as little as $15.00 for a pair.

Do headers make a difference on V8's? Well they make a bigger difference on the 300. You are dumping 6, 50 ci. cylinders into a single exhaust manifold. It's just a little on the restrictive side. And top that off the 300 is trying to breathe thru a straw ( aka 1V carb ) .

Yea I'm wanting to put a bigger intake and Carb on it. I'm used to carbs, used to have a 84 Monte ss. I just don't like all the wires in the newer cars and surprisingly this truck has got a shot load of wires. But thanks man lol. But the soonest I can get a v8 I'm getting it.

If you are going to swap in a V8 why are you bothering with headers, intake and carb for the 300? Sounds like a waste of time and money if you just plan to yank it anyways.

However, Hooker and Hedman Hedders also make headers for the 300.
