is there a aftermarket intake that will fit on my truck and plug right up. im wanting to get rid of the box and hoses looking for just a straight no hassel intake
What do you mean, you are "wanting to get rid of the box and hoses looking for just a straight no hassel intake?" Why do you want an aftermarket intake? Are you going to convert to a carburetor?
If not, you are not going to find an aftermarket EFI intake that is better than the intake you already have.

Great questions... A fair number of people stop by here telling us how they or a PO
wanted to "clean up the engine bay" or "make all that crap go away" but they don't fully
learn about what they're doing and how to do it with the end result being poor
performance and crappy fuel economy.
my cousin has one that runs from throttle body straight across to the left side of her engine bay but it is a 96. im just wantin to see if theres anything out there. and no i am not making it carberated
You can pick up an 87+ speed density intake and bolt that in. You'll need the whole washer fluid/overflow/air box xet up from the donor truck. But that will still give you an air box. If you want to spend bigger dollars, you can add a K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit for about $230 or so. With the 87+ hoses that will eliminate the airbox, but won't give you a big performance gain. If you want that, do the mass air conversion.
is there a website or something where i can get more information about them ideas ? tomarrow im relocating my airbox for the moment but i want to do something
The 87+ speed density stuff you would get from a boneyard truck...it's just stock stuff you'd bolt in. The K&N stuff you can look up on the web. As far as the Mass Air conversion goes, there's a number of web based articles out there. but if you PM me with an email address I can send you a spreadsheet that'll give you the step by step instructions on how to do the job. You'll need to buy a few things like a mass air computer, MAF sensor, an air intake hose and drivers side valve cover from a mass air bronco or truck, and a newer type EGR control solenoid, but if you shop right you can get all that for under $200. I've even got an extra mass air computer that I'd let go at a good price. The srpeadsheet I send you would require two pin-out changes since it's written for an H.O. roller engine that has a different firing order than a stock truck engine, but it'll show you the scope of the work and it would be easy to figure out the exact pin-outs you would need based on the computer you choose to use.
