Ok a bit of history 1st - truck in my signature, replaced front calipers, slide pins, pads & rotors about a year ago due to a stuck pass side caliper.
Here lately sometimes (maybe once or twice per day) when braking @ speeds > 45mph I get a slight vibration that you can just barely feel. Not through the steering wheel, I feel it in the floor. Hear a bit of rattling in the dash and from driver's door. I've experienced the front end "bouncing" from stuck pins & this feels different.
So today's project: check the caliper slide pins & grease them, check the runout on the rotors, inspect the pads, check the hubs and ball joints.
Looking for suggestions on anything else to look @ ?
Anytime you have vibration while braking, especially at higher speeds it "typically" always leads to a warped or out-of-round rotor. Heat is typicaly the problem and usually is the result of highspeed highway heavy braking.
Id bet money its u-joints. Ive changed mine twice now, and each time it does just what you are describing. Started doing it again this morning. This thing eats u-joints about every two years it seems.
