On my '95 F-150, the driver side door doesn't close all the way. It closes and latches and locks, but when I'm driving I hear road noise, etc. And when I look up into where it meets the frame, I can see a little daylight.
I thought maybe it was the door sag issue that some other folks have been having, but when I try to lift up on the door I don't notice the hinges moving. I also don't notice the door lifting.
I could be wrong, though. When I close it from the outside, it seems like the door does lift up just a little just as it hits the striker.
I checked the striker, and it has that plastic bushing piece, so that's not it.
Any ideas? Could it be the sagging thing still? Can I / do I need to align the door? Can I adjust the striker? Something else maybe?
Still could be the door striker. Check the striker position on the other door to see if they are both aligned the same.
The second check would be the door hinges, try to tighten then down; both teh top and bottom.
You can then check the for the correct fit by inserting a piece of paper between the door and the door rubber striping when you close the door. Then try to pull out the piece of paper, it should offer minimal resistance since we are not talking about anything of any width.
