I did a sas last year . An 89 dually front end D60 kingpin ,replaced my TTB50 on my 96 F250. Swapped over hubs and all that junk.
My question is ,I have never had really great front brakes like I used to, so should I of changed to the older style master c . The new (older) D60 has 2 cups in each caliper and the old calipers(96) had one.
And yes they were bled correctly ,over and over ,without any change.
Anybody who has actually done this have comments, recommendations?
Don't want to buy a master c that's not going to change anything.
looked at autozone to compare master cylinders and your truck could have ones with a 1 1/4" bore and it looked liked the older ones had a 1 1/8" bore ! dumb question but how is the rear brakes working ?
could you swap the original calipers on the front and then it would be just like what it was ?
if you did replace master cylinders the old one mite not work properly because they where set up for drums on the back !
My rear brakes are perfect. ABS works . That has to be the problem. The fronts work, just not well. The other calipers were bolt on and these are slides ,so going back is not an option. I guess I'll get the master c off the old truck and measure it up.
