Motor Identification
I just bought a 7.3 long block for rebuild...The PO told me it is a 99 7.3..
The number casted in the side of the block is 18-25849-02..How can i tell what year it is???

I think that's the casting number.

The serial number should be stamped in the milled area that the oil filter mounts to.
1998-1999 Engine s/n 661895 - 843989

Is that removeable from the block???? oil filter and cooler is missing...

Nope, should be stamped in the block itself.
