Hey guys i have this carb and it doesnt have the tag to get a rebuild kit , Im hoping someone can look at it and maybe have one with the tag number,so i cant get a kit for it. it has the thing on the back and a place for a connector and on the side it has a place for ,im guess was the throttle postion sensor. oh its a 2100 or 2150 not sure tried to post pics
That's a 2150; it must be a later model. It has a lot of gadgets that I don't recognize. It's missing the choke assembly. I don't think I'd use this on one of these trucks. It's missing a lot of the items you'd need - no spark port, fast idle linkage, choke housing, and fresh air port for the hot air stove. It might have been some sort of feedback carburetor.
From looking at the pictures, I'd say it's a 74+ Motorcraft. I've looked through the pictures and models of my manual, and it VERY closely relates to the 1974 Model 2100D, but it's not exact.
I'd agree that it's a 2150, because I can't seem to match it up exactly with anything in my 2100/2150 manual.
It's definitely a 74 though. Any earlier than that, and I'd say the person giving you the "less than 74" would be lying.
Do you know what vehicle it came off of, or anything about the carb?
Or did you just find it off of someone?
Any/all info would help me out A LOT.
EDIT: I've got a HUGGGGGE 15-page list of possibilities that could be the "correct" # for it. Like I said, ANY INFO will help A LOT.

It's not a 2100 because there's no choke pulloff on the air horn. It's a 2150 because you can see the screw holes for the passenger side mounted choke pulloff in the second picture. It's much later than a '74 because I don't believe the 2150 was in use in '74; and the solenoid in the back makes it look like a feedback carburetor (but that's just a guess).

The spark port is a vacuum port on the passenger side of the carburetor under the choke linkage, which sources the vacuum advance on the distributor. The fresh air port is for the hot-air choke and is described in the following thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...-answered.html
I found the carb id number on my carb on the right from ear where the stud mounts it to the intake. This is looking at the carb like it will be positioned on the engine. It was stamped into the side of that ear and the number matched with the metal tag that was on the carb itself. I have looked at two other 2100's and the number was stamped in the same location and the numbers also matched the tags on those carbs as well. Hope this helps.
My previous post should say "Right front ear". I do believe it is a 2150 as well because it looks similar to the one I have except the solenoid sticking out of the rear.

Yup, I agree. It's not a 2100. It's definitely a 2150. I was merely saying it has to be 74+ because it wasn't narrowed down for the O.P'er at all.

Hopefully soon enough, I can get some more info on the carb from the O.P. to try and help even further...
That 15-page list is a tid-bit monstrous, but hopefully we can narrow things down. Even the vehicle model (without year) would be enough to get things rolling.
I don't know what vehicle it came off of, it was on a ford truck when I bought it . I'm sure its a 2150, I just don't what kit to buy to rebuild it with
I was thinking it was an early 80's carbon right before fuel injection came out by it having the feedback sensor and the place for the throttle position sensor

It could possibly be an early 80's, but it's hard to tell for sure unless someone else on the forum has the exact same carb.
Come to think of it, what kind of truck was the carb on? Was it a 73-77, was it on the truck you're rebuilding it for? 80's? Don't know?
