So I know a few of you guys out there have Lightnings. I was wondering what kind of MPG you get with em. I found one on craigslist, and may be into purchasing it. I'm curious about the MPG I'd be getting, the truck has a few upgrades, so what I'll have to pay in gas could be a dealbreaker. Here is the ad:
Well if your just looking for fuel milage , thats probabley not the truck to buy , but if you keep your foot out of it , you could get about the same as a 351 150 , 12 -17 , depending on how you drive.....Lew
Nice looking truck but would be concerned about the miles and with all the mods it probably has been beat on. They all have 4:10 LS rears and I got a consistant 12 MPG in town and made a 800 mile road trip with cruise control at 70 MPG and a little over 16 MPG. But.......I had a smile on my face the entire trip!
Ya I've emailed the guy asking about the mileage, etc. I've been wanting a Fox Mustang, but don't want to give up my truck, so I figure this would be a good compromise.
