ok in the update thread i asked about the codes on injectors..... no answer from uhaul guy but i went ahead and ordered them....... recieved them the next day..... well i just got to my house from school (classes cancelled dur to yesterdays blizzard) and i got 5 stamped BB and 3 stamped E...... they are reman injectors....... is this going to be a problem??? some say stanadyne some say delphi and some i cant read. can barely make out the Codes on some
thats what i was assuming..... if the codes are different but they were rebuilt to all the same specs would it be ok to assume they would work correctly. the coding has to do with the internals and could be changed during rebuilding correct.
can you maybe call u haul and ask them if they set all injectors at "econmy" mode to run in all there trucks? as you figure they would want all the equitment to run the same..... just an idea as im about to purchase an IP ,GP's, injectors as well
As of 1994, Ford documents state the factory injectors were "E" for N/A engines and "G" for turbo, so the E codes were factory injectors.
Almost all you can buy now are BBs so I'd guess when they "reman"ed the injectors they actually replaced some but not all of the factory ones with BBs.
good news from uhaul...... called and talked to a guy named frank and he is checking with the shop about the injectors and supposed to be giving me a call back with info. the rebuild shop is located in kc and he said they have parts that are not even listed on the website.... i might have to go down and take a look.... he also said they are considering becoming a sponssor of the forum
didnt get a call back today i have classes until noon tomorrow if i don't get a call in the morning im gonna call him again and ask if he got a email from the rebuild shop yet
Do you have someone who can test them? One of the OBN guys had his tested, all were within an 80-psi range, with an average pop-pressure of about 1900 psi. His were all new-looking BBs tho.
how much does it typically cost to have that done? i don't want to pay 100 dollars on top of what ive already paid to get that done when injectors from pensecola cost 100 dollars
