I went and looked at another truck this evening.96 f-350 diesel manual crewcab 4x4.The exact tuck I've been looking for.Body not bad but been on the farm awhile so may need some work mechanicaly.I looked at it when it was getting dark with no owner around but had the keys.
Here's the issues,no dash, odometer, tailights and interiour lights.Brake lights worked though. Are these related,I didn't have fuses etc along to check anything.
Also the 4x4 and low light are on all the time including the abs light.
A manual trans crewcab diesel 4x4 is almost impossible to find out here and for under 4000 though I should go take a look.Has a new clutch and other repairs lately but runs a little ruff but almost no smoke on cold start. When speeding up it seems to have a miss also, injectors I'm guessing.
Any ideas on the wiring ?
Thanks

for ur dash lights and tail lights problem check fuse number number 10 i think its a 5 or 15 amp fuse i cant remember. and buy that freakin truck i have been looking for that exact setup for a couple months now and have only found 2. not an easy or cheap truck to find.
i think i'll go back and check fuses just a bit cold and windy out,i played with the switch and nothing.i see there are toggles on the dash for becons etc and someone may have played with them and they might be unhooked but spliced to power.
oil pressure guage etc seemed to be working when watching with my flashlight.may still go out tonight to see if fuses help.went for a little ride earlier and steering feels a lot diff. than my f-250 but maybe the straight axles feels this way.
