Well, I picked up my first Bronco today So far I love it. Now into the problems...
1.) The windshield wipers only kind of work, they move part way, stop move some more, stop, move some more, etc. There is alos a fairly loud buzzing when they are on. Sound like the wiper motor is going out? They have a used one on Bronco Graveyard for $35. Sound good?
2.) There is a rattle when idling or driving that seems to be coming from somewhere under the dash and pushing on parts of the dash didn't reveal where it was coming from. Any specific things it could possibly be?
3.) The little light that lights up on the shift **** when overdrive is disengaged doesn't light up. Is there an easy way to fix this? Something to check? Bulb or fuse?
4.) When I rev up the engine it seems like it takes more time than it should to return back to a normal idle. Any ideas on this or is this normal?
Thanks in advance for your help. This forum is the best!

1) Motor or Wiper Control Module behind the glove box.
2) Is it a plastic, glass, or metallic rattle? What part of the dash? Is it louder from the footwells? Is it related to engine speed, wheel speed, or fan speed?
How would I test whether it is the motor or the wiper control module?
The rattle is sort of a plastic rattle. It doesn't seem to be related to speed. If I have my AC on, when I turn it off, I hear the fan stop and the rattle dies for a second and then comes back.
I will try to figure out how to pull those codes this weekend and see what that says. Where is the place to pull the codes located?
Let's add one more thing to that list. This morning I lowered the tailgate, and after closing it the rear window didn't want to do anything. After opening and closing it the window finally responded again. Now when I tried to get the window down a little later it isn't doing anything again. It have tried using the key and the button. Is there a connection somewhere that could be loose? Thanks.
The first time, when you had to open it and reclose it, is probably just a matter of it not being closed enough. There is a safety switch on the tailgate that wont let the window up or down with out the tailgate being closed all the way.
As far as the second one goes... try having someone, or yourself, lean against the tailgate while you use the key to get it down. That MAY work, but I dont know.
The driver's side catch on the t/g has a safety interlock switch on it that kills the motor if the catch isn't FULLY closed. Get a T-50 bit and shift the L strike bolt on the body rearward ~1/32".
Merely slamming the tailgate isn't going to shatter your glass. Steve knows a lot and gives good advice. I don't know what makes you think slamming the tailgate is going to magically shatter the glass, I've seen and heard worse things done to Broncos w/o the rear glass doing anything.
It is the pin on the left side of the tailgate frame (body side). Mine is a silver cylinder with a larger round top. The face of it (sitting on the tailgate looking out the drivers side) has a torx slot in it. Loosen in, slide it back, and retighten.
Open your tailgate and look at the frame on the drivers side and you should see it. It is on the frame, the latch itself is on the tailgate. There is also one on the passengers side, but the safety interlock is only on the drivers side.
No it is not. You will have to remove the access panel to get the window down. When you get the access panel open then you can start troubleshooting the problem. With mine I had power but a bad safety interlock, so I jumpered the interlock got the window back up (mine was stuck down), ordered the parts (Bronco Graveyard, Ford, Junkyard, etc.) and replaced the bad switch. You can check your fuses first and maybe get lucky.
yo,
..a little late, however:

#3.. The E4OD OD Light shines only when the OD is OFF. Mine was shining intermittently due to short; which finally blew the fuse.
Also, the bulb (led ckt) could be bad. If so, ford's price is about $10.00 for new assy w/switch and LED
