i have a 93 f-250 with a 7.3 idi n at an idle it has a loud knocking noise and its missing but goes a away when idled up is this a lifter problem?

 

Are any of the injectors much hotter than the others?

An injector stuck open can let compression back into the injector and make a rather loud noise.

That injector would also be much hotter than one closing normally.

 

i havnt checked that but i just put all new injectors in it

 

Did this noise start right about that time?

 

it kind of did it before but i think im suckin air somewhere because it stalls after the first start n i have to pump the pedal to get it to fire up
