i went to put my truck in park and it started backing up. all the gears moved up one on and i have to put it in reverse(which is now neutral) to start my truck. any ideas whats up the truck is a 93 f250 with a e4od
Did the positions of the shifter itself actually moved with respect to the lever down on the side of the E4OD, or is it just your indicator on the dash pointing a gear off?
i checked the two bolts on the shifter under the dash they are tight, the shifter is a little lose but its not worse than it was. if it is the cable is there a way to adjust it at the transmission thanks for replying to my post
I need to work this issue out myself.
Have a trip coming up weekend of the 8th, It is just location of the indicator. (pulled a boat 200 miles with it yesterday)
Well that worked out great, everything is working as it should, starts in park, goes backwards in R forward in D/OD
