Talking Replacing Nylon Wiper Linkage Bushings

Has anyone ever changed the bushings on the front wiper linkage? Yesterday morning, I went to start my car and I accidentally left the wipers on from the previous night. I took the cowl and wiper assembly apart and found the linkage disconnected. I was able to snap the linkage together and the wipers seem to be working fine. I can get the bushings for about $8 at either O'Reillys or Auto zone. My question is: how hard is it to replace the bushings? I had the WHOLE wiper assembly out of the car and it didn't occur to me to try to replace the bushing prior to re-installing the assembly.
I plan on picking up the parts just to have on hand in case it happens again.
Will I need any special tool to remove and install the bushings?
Thank you to anyone that can help!!!
