I have been working on this for some time. Trying to help a freind out. I usally hang in the 6.0 forum. I have checked everything and there is no power going to the windows. The fuse for it is good in the fuse box under the hood. I have checked and there is no power to the connector that is located behind the e-brake. I have used the search function and cannot find anything that has helped. So if some one and point me in the right direction that would be great. The truck is a 99 Mazda B4000 SE 4x4 4.0L. The power door locks work. I am stumped! There is the relay box under the dash but I can not find anything on it to tell which relay does what. Thanks for any help.
I dont know but of there is a relay in line is there power to the relay? How about just pulling another out from under the hood, plug it in ans see if that helps?

Cannot find a relay for the windows all I can find is the 20 amp Maxi fuse. If you know where the relay is let me know and I will go look for it. All I know that there is no power at all to the windows. I am starting to wonder if the GEM has some thing to do with it.
OK I think I have narrowed it down to the accessory delay relay. The only thing is I can not find where it is. Does anyone have an idea to where that is located. Is it part of the GEM? Thanks for any help.
There is an inline power window safety relay after the 20amp maxi fuse, but before the drivers side master control panel. This relays actuating coil & some other things, are protected by an in cabin 10 amp fuse in position #26, so make sure that fuse is good, or it won't work. The relay is hot in Accy, or Run. I believe it & a couple of other relays are located in cabin, behind the radio, close to the GEM.
If it's fuse is ok, you could hold onto each of those relays while switching the key to Run or Accy to determine if you can feel it "click" when it gets power.
It's input B+ 12volt feed wire from the 20 amp fuse is Bk/W, it's output to the drivers side master control panel is on the LB/Bk wire, so relay wire color can be used to determine the one your looking for.

Let us know what you find.
OK the 20amp maxi fuse is fine. The 10 amp fuse is fine also. I have checked all of the relays near the GEM. I will go thru the relays again tomorrow but I can not find which one is the window relay. The LB/Bk wire is dead as a hammer. I have even checked the plug that is behind the e-bake in the kick panel. This thing is driving me nuts! Is there a digram to tell you which relay is what. I have had no luck finding one. That would help a whole bunch.
Someone posted some pictures of the relays back there, a year or so ago, but I couldn't find the thread with a quick search. If I remember right, Rockledge put the tags on the different relays, so if he's monitoring this thread, maybe he'll answer up.
I think I saved the thread in Favorites, but I have well over 100 Ranger links stored, so it'll likely take a while for me to find it, IF I saved it!!!! I'll post the thread if I can find it.
OK, i have 116 links in my Ranger file, while this one isn't the one with the pictures, it does have some relay & circuit checking steps to go through. The GEM also controls a timed Key Off relay, that allows us to run the windows up for a few seconds after key off.
Edit: WOOPS I forgot the url....https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/4...w-problem.html
So you might consider trying to power the windows with a battey charger as a power supply, to make sure they are working, until you find the power window safety relay.
If you can't feel or hear which relay behind the radio "clicks" when you go to KOEO, look for the above wire color code at the relay, to determine which it is.
More thoughts for consideration.
I'll keep looking for the thread with the pictures. They're in my MSN TV-2 players Favorites & it hasn't been able to open any FTE threads for a week now. I keep getting a fractured link error code, so I'm having to "E" mail myself the thread URL & open the thread with my laptop, so it's likely to take awhile to find it, unless I get lucky!!!! lol
Thanks pawpaw. I have verified that the windows will work. I have powered them with 12v and both of them work fine. Even the the one touch power down works. I will check this out tomorrow. Thanks for all of your help!
First I want to thank pawpaw for his help. Second to tell poeple where to look for the power window relay. In a 99 Mazda B4000 4x4 4.0L V6 it is located behind the passanger side kick panel. It was the only relay there. Put a new relay in it and viola the windows worked. Hope this helps someone find the relay faster than what it took me to find it. Now that it is fixed you can hear the relay click on and off everytime you turn the ingnition switch.
Good find, fix, feedback & to hear you located that faulty PW relay. I never could find the post with pictures, so I guess I didn't save it. But it was a photo with labels of the relays behind the radio, not the kick panel, so it wouldn't have done any good anyway.
Thanks for closing out your thread.
No problem! I have got so much info off this site thru the years I figure I would give something back when I can. I am alwaya afraid of taking my vehicles somewhere to get fixed. So I try to fix things the way I would like to have them fixed.
