FICM ?

I have an 03' with a fried FICM, it is a 7 pin FICM. I was wondering if it mattered if it was replaced with a 4 pin? Or should it be replaced with the same 7 pin? I've already tried the resolder repair with no luck.Trying to find a cheaper avenue than the $1000.00 quote from the dealer and the week or 2 shipping time to get it rebuilt. Any info would be appreciated

Check out this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...nd-repair.html

4 pin FICM is what you'd get from the dealer. Overnight freight would cut the shipping time down drastically and still get you in for under $1000 by a considerable amount.
