Oil Pressure, Jumping
2007 f-350. I noticed that the Oil Pressure guauge was jumping around alot. Running glowshift gauges with the sensor T'd in at the filter cap. As the vehicle warms or is warm the pressure gauge jumps around from 50/60 to a quick fall to the 20's. After a awhile it'll stop. The idot gauge indicates there is no problem. Is it the gauge?, The sensor location or is this a sign of a problem on the horizon. Also, what is the normal or safe operating pressures.

The indash gauge gets to "normal" at 7.5 psi. The oil filter has a differential bypass at 20 or 25psi (the black plastic standpipe in the middle of the filter). The LPOP pressure regulator is set to 70 psi. The oil pressure test port shown below would be a better place to put the sensor.
