Header help

Got a 79 F-150 4X4 with dual shocks around the coils up front. What kind of headers can I fit/run with a 400?

The dual shock option is not a factor with your headers as the extra shocks are in front of the coil springs. Header fitment on these trucks has always been an issue. It seems that they interfer with the starter, or the clutch linkage, or the transmission crossmember, or something. Different manufactures seem to have different interference issues. L&L makes a good set and I've read good things about them. Personally, I run a set of Sanderson shorty headers on my truck and because they are not long tube nothing gets in their way. I know that long tube headers will make more torque then the shorties but I'm not pulling or racing and the 400 has enough torque to pull the bottom out of a lake anyway.
