I noticed the ad on these forums talking about a strobable cab light. However, they wanted like $225 per five or maybe even one I think not including the harness.
So my question is if I go with a set from Pacer (smoke or clear I like best) with the harness I assume it would just be plug and play with the cab light option wired into my truck as all came that way.
Second is there a best kind to get smoke clear vs amber?
Lastly, I would assume that I could wire my lights with a strobable function with a flasher right? How would I go about actuating this flasher to transition from solid on to strobing?
I don't know what you are trying to accomplish with strobing cab lights, but a true strobe lighting system takes special lights and a special high voltage box to drive them. You can make regular lights and led lights "blink" like turnsignals or christmas lights, but they won't be a true strobe light with the high power flash.
I doubt you will find a aftermarket harness that will just plug in to the Ford plug. I have heard there is a plug on the driver's side kickpanel area, but I could not find it on my truck, but the darkbrown wire is there, and you can just tie into that for the cab roof marker lights.
It just looks cool and from seeing the strobing leds by Atomic who had an add here it made me think. However, from what I could tell it was about $50 for the harness and then it appeared $255 for a professional series strobing light (it didn't appear to be the package either). I anticipated if they could do it then so could I but I see what you are saying.
