I checked it while cranking it was 47 to 48 volts, sitting on the trailer. Still not running but will do when and if I get running. Guess its time to start the tear down.

2003 6L Diesel Stall and no warm start; Injectors replaced recently

All injectors replaced less than 1000 miles. Running great. Then... pulling slight hill with light load. Loss of power (like turbo gone!) then stalled when coming to a stop. No start - but does turn over.
Mechanic looking at HPO system, as seems with all other posts with similar description. My question: Coincidental timing just shortly after injectors replaced?? Injector inlet O ring issue very possible since injectors recently done?? Issue with injector replacement and oil rail?? The issue "smells bad" as the timing of injector replacement is so close.

hey there, I had the same type of problem and when we changed the oil filter and made sure there was the full 15-16 qts of oil in it the problem stopped. Yes, mine left me stranded a few times because of this issue too!! Once even in the drive through, that was fun for almost 2 hours. Luckily I didn't drive it that far so it wasn't that hot so didn't take that long to cool off.

Was not so lucky. Ended up being the oil cooler and ICP. $2500 expense due to Fords poor design. That on top of 2600 for injectors last month. Very disappointed for only 170 miles. This @#$&% truck has cost me 10k more in repairs than my 96 7.3 L diesel. It just turned 280k and no engine work!

What kind of maintenance cycle did you have on the coolant?
(and I assume you meant you have 170K miles on the truck?)

Yes 170k. Flushed at least 3 times (coolant). Not an inexpensive procedure. And for this to happen on top.

When you flushed, did you use chemicals? What coolant did you use?

Did your oil cooler fail or just plug up?

(sorry for all the questions - just curious by nature)
