Boy I really envy you guys that live in the more scenic parts of the country, or get to vacation there.

amdriven2liv those are some great shots! Is that plume of ash from that volcano? That is just too cool! And the Crater Lake shot?

That plume isn't my photo, but it looks more like a raging forest fire. We see that plume on the horizon in Oregon quite often.

Crater Lake is a great spot. Not only in the summer, but winter also. Many snowmobilers travel there for lunch and dinner. There is currently 92" of snow there.

I go once a year............It is one of the only big attractions that is MORE than is expected, the scale is hard to take in.

I was just saying that the photo (volcano) was posted by another poster "bill w". It is a great shot, (just not my posting.) "Bill W" gets the credit for that one.


There are some real nice photos in this thread.

There are some real nice photos in this thread.
Cool isn't it? They have threads like these on a couple other boards I visit and I'm always amazed at what pops up. Glad to see people contributing!

It was taken at a VFW post just north of Pentwater Michigan on Rte. 31.
