water/fuel separator

Alrighty guys i got a question might be dumb but i really dont know.....where exactly is the water drain for the fuel on an 08 6.4 cew cab... i feel like its a necessity that i do it ASAP cause i dobt it was ever done before i bought the truck about 8mnts ago... any tips/pointers would be GREAT thanks guys oh and speaking about fuel...True or False when in regen if compleated the truck will use 1-2gallons of fuel each time... thanks again guys

does not use 1-2 gallons for a regen..not real sure of the exact amount and there really isn't one as not everyones regens are the same. I'd say maybe a pint or two.

Attach is a pic of the fuel/water separator. crawl under the drivers side door. Just inside the frame rail. Yellow lever (it is plastic be careful). Open lever and it should drain.

Drain it into something clear so you can see if there is any water.

Thanks senix i dont think the fuel thing was right it was just a he said she said type thing but im gona have to go out now check that water situation...damn its gona be cold seeing as its only 23*f thanks again i appreciate it
