when it comes to limited slip diff's there is a fuel economy decrease,however how significant it is over a open diff,i just don't know.likely not a whole lot,however it probably depends on ones average terrain i guess.however,for the added traction they provide,i highly doubt the tiny increase in fuel consumption amounts to anything.a hardcore hypermiller may avoid them on purpose,but the average joe isn't going to worry about it.im an in between hypermiller and average joe,and id never on purpose think about ditching a LS diff if i had one,for an open.however i wont trade one in for one either lol.
